Responsibilities:

• Provide expert advice on freshwater fish species, tank setups, and maintenance.
• Assist customers in selecting the right fish, plants, and equipment for their aquariums.
• Maintain the health and cleanliness of fish tanks and aquatic displays.
• Educate customers on proper fish care, feeding, and tank cycling techniques.
• Monitor water quality and perform necessary tests to ensure optimal conditions.
• Restock and organize fish supplies and related merchandise on the sales floor.
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues with professionalism and enthusiasm.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current on freshwater fish care trends.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in aquatics or a related retail environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of freshwater fish species and aquarium maintenance.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items, such as aquariums and supplies.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for educating others.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic knowledge of water chemistry and aquarium ecosystems.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.
