What You ll Do:
- Deliver primary care medical services to detainees in accordance with scope of practice
- Perform physical assessments, diagnose, and develop treatment plans
- Provide clinical oversight and consultation to healthcare staff
- Manage acute and chronic health conditions for diverse patient populations
- Respond to medical emergencies within the facility
- Maintain thorough documentation in electronic health records
- Support facility quality improvement and compliance initiatives
What You Need:
- Valid state medical license in Louisiana
- DEA license for prescribing controlled substances
- Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience, board eligibility or certification preferred
- BLS/CPR certification through AHA or ARC
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and cultural competency skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary setting
- Proficiency in English; Spanish skills preferred but not required
