Family Nurse Practitioner (Part-Time)

Occupational Medicine Federal Workers' Compensation (OWCP) Personal Injury

Location: Lithonia, GA (Tuesday & Wednesday) and Marietta, GA (Thursday)
Schedule: Tuesday-Thursday, 20 hours per week
Employment Type: Part-Time (1099 with potential for long-term growth)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with occupational injuries and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations.
• Develop evidence-based treatment plans under physician protocols.
• Manage follow-up visits and monitor patient progress.
• Order and discuss results of diagnostic studies, including X-rays, MRIs, and EMG.
• Provide appropriate work restrictions.
• Complete accurate, timely medical documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Learn and assist with OWCP documentation, including CA-17 and CA-20 forms.
• Coordinate care with physical therapy, occupational therapy, orthopedic surgery, pain management, imaging centers, and other specialists.
• Educate patients regarding their injuries, treatment plans, medications, and recovery expectations.
• Collaborate closely with the supervising physician and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications:
REQUIRED:

• Active Georgia Nurse Practitioner license.
• National board certification (AANP or ANCC).
• DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
• Current BLS certification.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Strong clinical judgment and professionalism.

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Family Nurse Practitioner who enjoys musculoskeletal medicine and wants to develop expertise in occupational medicine and Federal Workers' Compensation. Previous OWCP experience is preferred but not required-we provide comprehensive training.

Please note this candidate will be trained by the supervising physician.
