Responsibilities:
  • Greet and check in patients, ensuring a warm and professional front desk experience
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
  • Verify insurance eligibility for routine vision and medical benefits
  • Collect co-pays, process payments, and manage patient billing inquiries
  • Maintain and update accurate patient records and medical histories
  • Coordinate communication between patients and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Answer incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and follow up on referrals
Requirements:
  • Prior experience in an eye care front office setting preferred
  • Familiarity with vision and/or medical insurance verification and billing
  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) or practice management software
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a busy clinical environment
  • Detail-oriented with accurate data entry and record-keeping abilities
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional healthcare coursework a plus
