Emergency Medicine Physician - Emergency Department & Urgent Care Coverage Overview
A healthcare organization in Central Wisconsin is seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for a locum tenens assignment. This opportunity offers 12-hour shifts in a combined Emergency Department and Urgent Care setting with ongoing monthly coverage needs beginning in September.

- Start Date: September 2026
- Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only
- Schedule: Approximately 5-8 shifts per month
- Shift Options:
- 6:00 AM-6:00 PM
- 6:00 PM-6:00 AM
- 10:00 AM-10:00 PM
- Initial Coverage Dates:
- September 15-17 (6:00 PM-6:00 AM)
- September 24-25 (6:00 PM-6:00 AM)
- October 3-4 (6:00 AM-6:00 PM)
- October 18-21 (6:00 PM-6:00 AM)
- Credentialing: Approximately 60 days
- Temporary Privileges: Available
- EMR: Cerner
- Evaluate and treat patients presenting with emergent and urgent medical conditions
- Provide care across both Emergency Department and Urgent Care settings
- Perform emergency procedures within the scope of Emergency Medicine
- Collaborate with advanced practice clinicians and multidisciplinary care teams
- Document patient encounters using Cerner
- Participate in required orientation before beginning clinical coverage
- MD or DO
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM required)
- Active medical license
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) certifications as required by the facility
- Experience practicing in an Emergency Department setting
- Eligible for hospital credentialing
