The Electrician Marine plays a crucial role in maintaining and ensuring the electrical systems of commercial ships and military vessels operate safely and efficiently. This position involves independent work, requiring expertise in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex marine electrical systems using standard electrical hand tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical installation on commercial and military vessels
  • Maintain and troubleshoot AC/DC electrical systems
  • Handle wiring and cabling tasks according to marine standards
  • Test and repair electrical equipment to ensure operational safety
  • Document technical procedures and maintenance activities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Marine Safety Certification
  • Proficiency in AC/DC electrical systems and wiring circuitry
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of marine safety protocols
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Excellent problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills
