Kodiak Labor Solutions is seeking experienced Commercial Electricians to join a growing Special Projects Team in Richmond, Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrician who is ready to take on challenging commercial projects, work independently, and continue developing their career.

What You'll Do

  • Perform electrical installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and control systems
  • Install and repair relays, starters, switches, motors, motor control centers, switchgear, transformers, power distribution equipment, heat tracing systems, and cable trays
  • Determine appropriate conduit sizes
  • Pull and terminate conductors
  • Install junction boxes and associated electrical components
  • Support retrofits, commercial construction projects, installations, equipment replacements, and service projects
  • Work safely and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
  • Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and project leadership


What We're Looking For

  • Journeyman-level experience with power and control wiring and commercial electrical installations
  • Ability to work independently and manage assigned projects with minimal supervision
  • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and industry practices
  • Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes
  • Understanding of OSHA safety requirements
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and background check


Preferred Qualifications

  • Electrical Journeyman or Master Electrician license
  • Completion of an applicable electrical trade school or apprenticeship program
  • Leadership experience
