The Electrical Journeyman will be responsible for performing a variety of residential electrical tasks including installation, troubleshooting, wiring, and system upgrades. This role requires independent work with occasional travel to multiple job sites, utilizing standard electrical tools while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and electrical codes.

Responsibilities

  • Install and wire electrical systems in residential projects
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform circuit testing
  • Read and interpret blueprints for accurate installation
  • Test electrical equipment and ensure code compliance
  • Follow safety practices and maintain a safe work environment
  • Perform system upgrades and preventive maintenance
  • Document work progress and maintain accurate records

Required Qualifications

  • Proficient in electrical wiring and circuit testing
  • Skilled in blueprint interpretation and reading
  • Knowledgeable of safety regulations and electrical codes
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in electrical work
