Take Pride in Your WorkThe OpportunitySKT MOBILE TECHNICIAN IIThe Koch Trucking Mobile Technician II performs intermediate-level diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on tractors and trailers. You will handle more complex tasks than a Mobile Technician I and ensure all work meets Koch Companies and DOT standards. This is a mobile role requiring travel to various customer and company sites for on-site service. This is a mobile role requiring travel to various customer and company sites for on-site service.Work performed outdoors from a mobile service truck in all weather conditionsDOT Compliance: Conduct inspections and repairs to meet state and federal DOT standardsLiftgate Maintenance: Replace hydraulic cylinders, perform electrical diagnostics and wiring repairs, and conduct fluid changesReefer Units: Perform routine maintenance (e.g., filter changes, battery checks) and replace basic electronic components such as sensors and alternatorsTrailer Repairs: Conduct roll door repairs (e.g., track and hinge adjustments) and inspect and repair landing gearElectrical Systems: Read and interpret fault codes, troubleshoot and replace ABS sensorsWelding and Fabrication: Perform minor steel repairs and practice basic aluminum welding techniquesAdvanced Diagnostics and Repairs: Troubleshoot CEL (Check Engine Light) issues, perform intermediate brake system repairs (e.g., shoes, pads, drums), diagnose suspension issues (e.g., shock absorbers), and replace injectors in field-accessible environments.What you bring to the team High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 2 years of tractor maintenance experienceAbility to independently complete advanced repairsStrong mechanical aptitude and commitment to safetyAbility to lift and move up to 50+ lbs regularly Preferred Qualifications:3+ years of experience in advanced diagnostics and repairsAssociates degree (AAS) in Heavy Duty Truck Technology, Diesel Mechanics, or related Valid CDL A or CDL B license preferredCall our recruiter today, or About Koch CompaniesKoch Companies is a family-owned, industry-leading organization comprised of several divisions, including Koch Logistics, United Trailer Leasing, Koch NationaLease, and Koch Trucking.
