Job Title: CT Technologist General Summary
Performs routine and specialized CT radiologic procedures at an advanced skills level. Produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of designated anatomical areas following established practices and procedures.
Shifts: Days, evenings, and nights Duties and Responsibilities- Perform CT Scan Radiology studies, obtain patient history, explain procedures, and address patient concerns
- Administer intravenous contrast media under physician supervision
- Recognize and treat complications such as contrast reactions
- Schedule cases to coordinate with other examinations
- Position and transfer patients comfortably, immobilize patients as needed
- Practice radiation safety procedures and serve as on-call technologist
- Train new staff, passed CT specialty exam as per ARRT
- Perform duties of Radiographer as required
- Prepare and maintain documentation as per department requirements
- Registered Technologist-Computed Tomography - ARRT upon hire
- Certified in Computed Tomography - NMTCB upon hire
- Basic Life Support certification upon hire
- Accredited program in radiologic technology and training in CT procedures upon hire
