Job Summary
Responsible for reviewing quote requests and creating bid schedules. Create scope sheets and perform detailed take-offs from architectural and structural drawings. Submit timely requests for information to contractors. Communicate directly with clients regarding scope sheets, pricing breakouts, and questions regarding submitted bids. Maintain accurate records. Work alongside project manager, assisting with compiling spread sheets, reviewing shop drawings/submittals, and managing multiple project schedules.
Requirements
- Qualified candidates will have a Degree or equivalent on job training in a construction/architectural/or engineering field but not required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the metal industry
- Minimum 3 years steel estimating experience
- Ability to read and interpret Architectural drawings
- CAD experience a plus but not required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in problem-solving/analysis
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, organize
- Experience utilizing BlueBeam software and Microsoft Office applications. Strong MS Excel proficiency
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
