Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair commercial electrical systems, including low voltage and high-voltage wiring, ensuring compliance with local electrical codes and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately to execute installations and repairs.
• Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting on complex industrial and commercial electrical systems using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters.
• Conduct high-voltage wiring tasks safely on construction sites or renovation projects while adhering to NFPA 70 compliance standards.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to install wiring, conduit systems, circuit breakers, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other electrical components.
• Diagnose issues within electrical systems efficiently to minimize downtime through systematic troubleshooting procedures.
• Follow all electrical safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and team members.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely completion of projects within scope and specifications.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections conducted for compliance and quality assurance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Commercial Electrician with a strong background in industrial electrician work preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in industrial electrical systems, including high-voltage wiring and industrial automation components such as PLCs.
• Familiarity with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 standards, NEC regulations, and reading electrical schematics.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other testing equipment.
• Hands-on experience with electrical wiring installation on construction sites or renovation projects.
• Knowledge of low voltage systems along with general construction experience including framing carpentry or handyman skills is advantageous.
• Ability to interpret blueprints accurately and execute precise electrical wiring according to specifications.
• Strong troubleshooting skills combined with the ability to perform electrical diagnostics efficiently under pressure.
• Valid electrician license or certification as required by local jurisdiction; additional certifications in high-voltage or industrial systems are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within diverse teams in fast-paced environments.
