Employbridge is seeking an experience CMM Programmer for Belleville, MI


Shift: 2:00pm - 10:00pm

Location: Belleville MI

Job Type: Contract


Purpose of Position: Programs coordinate measuring machine (CMM) to measure dimensions of automotive parts, inspection fixtures and machine jigs by performing the following duties. JOB/TASK


Essential Functions: The following job/task functions have been identified as the core functions of this position. However, the supervisor or manager may assign additional duties associated with this position.


  • Reads blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerance specifications per Geometric Dimension & Tolerance (GD&T) to Ansi 14.5 standards.
  • Performs in-depth part layout using direct drive CMM and bench layout.
  • Capable of operating multiple machines simultaneously.
  • Performs capability studies.
  • Certifies check fixtures and logs data into MQ1.
  • Perform gauge certification (dimensional).
  • Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.).
  • Compares recorded measurements to blueprint dimensions and tolerances and notifies specified persons of discrepancies.
  • Assists with PPAP submissions.
  • Performs gauge R&R (repeatability and reproducibility).
  • Enters gages into the gage system. And keep gage calibrations and statistical studies current in Mq1 system.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities.
  • Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor.
  • Punctual and regular attendance is required.
  • Able and willing to work any shift assigned and overtime on short notice.
  • Keeps work areas clean and orderly.
  • Assumes other duties as directed by supervisor.


Qualifications:

Responsible for reading and understanding the TS16949 and ISO-14001 procedures located at K:/winapps/data/TS Team/Procedures

Safety training

Proficient In / Knowledge of:

    • Bench Layout o GD&T
    • Blue Print Reading
    • Statistics (SPC)
    • Gage R & R
    • Visual Defects & Audits
    • Work Instructions and Standards
    • Quality Check Sheets
    • Scrap Reporting
    • Cylinder Handling
    • Fixtures
    • Set Up Procedures
    • Tagging
    • Part Containment
    • Part History (Quality)

Ability to use:

    • Calipers Micrometers
    • height gages
    • radius gages
    • All other measuring equipment
    • Strong knowledge of MS Office
    • Strong knowledge of MQ1
    • Strong knowledge of QAD

Ability to work independently
