About the Position

Our client is seeking experienced CDL-A drivers for local operations based in Baltimore, Maryland. This temp-to-hire position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, daily home time, and strong long-term potential.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $27.00 per hour, straight time
• Employment Type: Temp-to-hire
• Schedule: Full-time, 5-day workweek
• Workweek Options: Monday-Friday, Tuesday-Saturday, or Sunday-Thursday
• Shift: First shift, with dispatch times between 5:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Home Time: Home daily

Job Details

• Route Type: Local
• Route Area: Typically within 200-250 miles of the Baltimore yard, with most routes traveling shorter distances
• Average Stops: 3-6 stops per day
• Freight: General freight; hazmat loads may be assigned
• Equipment: Tractor-trailer with automatic transmission
• Handling: No-touch freight
• Work Setting: On-site

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a CDL-A tractor-trailer on local delivery routes
• Transport general freight in accordance with DOT regulations and safety standards
• Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Maintain accurate logs and required paperwork
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations personnel

Minimum Requirements

• Valid CDL-A
• 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
• Experience operating CDL-A tractor-trailer equipment
• Hazmat endorsement preferred at hire and required within the first 90 days of employment
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record, with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
