About the Position

Our client is seeking a CDL A Hazmat Driver to support local operations in Henrico, Virginia. This on-site, home-daily position offers steady work, reliable scheduling, and the opportunity to work with a driver-focused team.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $28.50 per hour
• Schedule: Monday through Friday
• Start time: Between 4:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m.
• Daily hours: 8-14 hours per day
• Hours per week: 40
• Employment type: Temp to perm
• Anticipated start date: June 22, 2026

Job Details

• Route type: Local, with approximately 6-8 stops per day
• Freight: Light-touch freight
• Equipment: Automatic transmission with a 53-foot trailer
• Handling: Electric pallet jack, some product breakdown, and the ability to lift at least 30 pounds
• Schedule type: Home daily

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL A equipment on local routes.
• Transport freight in accordance with DOT and company safety standards.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate logs and required paperwork.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams.
• Complete required freight-handling duties, including operating an electric pallet jack and breaking down product as needed.
• Meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting at least 30 pounds.

Minimum Requirements

• Valid CDL A license.
• 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
• Hazmat endorsement required before 90 days of employment.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record, with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
• Ability to lift at least 30 pounds and perform required freight-handling duties.
