Job Description Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction & Commissioning Global Quality Operations Leader to oversee and drive quality excellence across our construction sites worldwide. This leader will be responsible for ensuring adherence to quality processes, managing non-conformities at site, and improving execution efficiency by maintaining high standards for our Site Quality Supervisors. The role involves leading a team of approximately 20 professionals spread across 15 countries, ensuring quality standards are upheld throughout all construction activities. The candidate must have in-depth knowledge of best practices and how their area integrates with others; they should also understand competitive factors in the market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Oversight: Lead and manage the Site quality team (Site Quality Supervisors) on construction sites, ensuring high-quality execution in compliance with our Site Quality Plans.
  • Process Governance: Ensure our quality processes accurately reflect field operations and are consistently applied across all construction projects.
  • Non-Conformity Management: Drive the on time closure of non conformities, conduct root cause analyses.
  • Training, Onboarding & Development: Develop and implement training programs on quality for our C&C teams to enhance their expertise and adherence to best practices.
  • Cost & Lead Time Reduction: Identify and implement strategies to minimize lead time impacts and costs associated with non-conformities at construction sites.
  • Strategic Alignment: Contribute to the C&C Leadership Team and the Hydro Global Quality Team, ensuring alignment with company-wide quality objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a senior quality leadership role, preferably in construction, infrastructure, or energy sectors.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of quality management principles, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop global teams across multiple geographies.
  • Communication: Strong ability to communicate effectively across different functions and cultures.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to drive solutions that enhance quality performance while balancing operational efficiency.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to travel internationally as needed to oversee construction site quality initiatives.
