Cardiologist (MD/DO) Locum Tenens Opportunity Potsdam, New York
WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking a Board Certified Cardiologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Potsdam, New York. This assignment offers a blend of outpatient cardiology, stress test supervision, consult service responsibilities, and call coverage within a well-established practice.
Assignment Overview- Specialty: Cardiology
- Location: Potsdam, NY
- Start Date: ASAP (anticipated August start due to credentialing timeline)
- Assignment Length: 6 9+ Months
- Schedule: Monday Thursday
- Hours: 8:00 AM 6:00 PM
- Coverage Requirement: 3 Weeks Per Month
- Ongoing Coverage Need
- Outpatient Cardiology Clinic
- Hospital Consult Service Rotation
- Call Coverage Included
- Established Cardiology Program
- Outpatient cardiology evaluations and follow-up care
- Cardiovascular disease management
- Consult service coverage
- Supervision and interpretation of cardiac stress testing
- Participation in call rotation
- Three days per week dedicated to outpatient clinic coverage
- One day per week supervising stress tests
- Call coverage responsibilities included
- Nurse Practitioner support available through September
- Potential transition to solo physician coverage thereafter
- Additional support structure details discussed during interview
- Board Certified in Cardiology
- Five Years of Experience Preferred
- Physicians with fewer years of experience may be considered
- Ability to interpret nuclear cardiology studies strongly preferred
- Candidates with nuclear reading capabilities will receive priority consideration
- Four-day workweek
- Long-term assignment with schedule stability
- Mix of outpatient and consultative cardiology
- Established patient population
- Opportunity for ongoing assignment extensions
