Position Overview

Seeking a full-time General Cardiologist to provide comprehensive cardiology care across outpatient clinic and inpatient rounding settings. The role includes a mix of clinical care, diagnostic interpretation, and shared call responsibilities.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Inpatient rounding and outpatient clinic coverage

• Interpretation of noninvasive cardiology studies, including:

  • Electrocardiograms (EKG)

  • Transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE)

  • Stress testing (treadmill, nuclear)

  • Vascular ultrasound

  • Holter and event monitors

• Diagnostic cardiac catheterization experience preferred but not required

Schedule & Call

• No emergency department call

• Practice call only: 1 week per month

• Weekend hospital rounding: 1:4 rotation

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $450,000 $500,000, dependent on experience

• Productivity bonus starting Year 1

Candidate Requirements

• Active Arizona medical license or eligibility via IMLC

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology

  • Board certification required within 5 years of residency if BE

• Minimum of 2 years post-training experience preferred

• ACLS (AHA-issued) required if requesting conscious sedation privileges

• BLS (AHA-issued) required

• Flu vaccination required (medical or religious exemption accepted)

• COVID vaccination required (medical or religious exemption accepted)

• Ability to enter time worked into the Vemsta platform
