Clinical Role

Join an established cardiovascular team in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, providing Interventional Cardiology coverage in a community hospital. This locums opportunity includes weekday hospital coverage with STEMI call as well as weekend 24-hour STEMI call while performing a variety of interventional and general cardiology procedures.

Assignment Details

Coverage Dates:

• August 28, 2026, 7:00 AM - August 31, 2026, 7:00 AM
  • 24-hour weekend call
• October 5, 2026, 7:00 AM - October 9, 2026, 5:00 PM
  • Monday-Friday coverage
  • 7:00 AM-4:00 PM
  • Weeknight beeper call from 4:00 PM-7:00 AM

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday: 7:00 AM-4:00 PM
• Weeknight STEMI beeper call: 4:00 PM-7:00 AM
• Weekend STEMI call: 7:00 AM-7:00 AM
• Weekend coverage includes both Interventional and General Cardiology

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

Practice Setting:

• Hospital

Facility Details:

• 74-bed hospital

Patient Volume:

• Approximately 15 consults per day
• Average of 3 procedures per day

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Provide Interventional Cardiology coverage
• Cover General Cardiology on weekends
• Perform inpatient and outpatient cardiac catheterizations
• Perform Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE)
• Interpret echocardiograms
• Perform cardiac window procedures as indicated
• Evaluate inpatient cardiology consults
• Provide STEMI call coverage
• Collaborate with hospital staff and multidisciplinary care teams
• Document patient care using Epic EMR

Requirements

• Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
• Active Pennsylvania license or IMLC Letter of Qualification required
• DEA required
