Our company is a custom curtainwall manufacturer with an engineering department that produces all documentation for use in shop fabrication and field installation.


The CAD Draftsman will play a key role in the architectural design team by producing precise technical drawings and 3D models. This position requires strong proficiency in CAD software to create, revise, and ensure compliance with design standards, reporting directly to the lead engineer. The successful candidate will support architectural projects without the need for travel.


Responsibilities

  • Create detailed technical drafts and 3D models for architectural projects
  • Revise drawings accurately based on feedback and project updates
  • Operate CAD software including AutoCAD, Revit, and Inventor efficiently
  • Ensure all drawings comply with industry and company standards
  • Collaborate with design team members to integrate design changes
  • Report progress and challenges to the lead engineer


Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in technical drawing and 3D modeling
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and time management abilities
  • Experience using Inventor and Revit software


Preferred Qualifications

  • Entry-level experience in CAD drafting
  • Certification in CAD technology
