J&R Design Systems is looking to bring on a full time CAD Designer to the team!

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Inventor) with a strong understanding of 2D and 3D drafting techniques.
• Basic knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
• Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Job Description

• Collaborate with Project Engineers and Senior Designers to produce CAD drawings, models and design packages in Inventor for existing and new products in accordance with company drawing standards and templates
• Create 3d models of components and equipment and 2D drawings
• Create drawings for outsourced laser and machining work
• Generate bills of materials
• Assist with creation of internal fabrication and construction drawings
• Assist with creation of piping and instrumentation drawings
• Adheres to all environmental, health, and safety rules and policies
• Conducts other duties as required
