Part-Time Bookkeeper/Office Manager

Location: On-site

Schedule: Approximately 20 hours per week, with some flexibility

Start: Immediate

Position Overview

We are seeking a part-time Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial operations and general office administrative tasks. This role includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, bank account management, and monthly reconciliations. Additional clerical and office management responsibilities are required. QuickBooks experience is required.

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping

Record financial transactions and complete the posting process.

Reconcile taxes and bank accounts monthly.

Monitor financial transactions and generate related reports.

Process and track accounts receivable and accounts payable.

Process checks and maintain payment documentation.

Maintain and understand general ledgers.

Review and process weekly timesheets; upload payroll data to Paychex.

Maintain payroll related benefit paperwork (health, retirement, deductions) and personnel records tied to payroll.

Collaborate with the company accountant as needed.

Human Resources & Office Administration

Assist employees and maintain general HR benefit paperwork and personnel records (non payroll items).

Manage Local, State, and Federal reporting requirements (e.g., personal property filings, workers' compensation audits).

Perform general office duties including filing, organization, mail handling, and ordering supplies.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of general accounting principles.

Minimum of three years' bookkeeping experience, preferably in a business-services environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Proficiency with QuickBooks.

Ability to prepare, review, and understand financial statements.

Experience with Excel, Word, and SharePoint preferred.

Ability to learn Deltek Vantagepoint (project management/billing software).

Must work on-site.
