Automotive Service Technician

Yorkdale Ford Lincoln is expanding its high-energy service department! We are seeking four (4) skilled, dependable Automotive Mechanics who thrive in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will diagnose, service, and repair everything from standard passenger vehicles to commercial transport trucks. If you have sharp troubleshooting skills, excellent manual dexterity, and a dedication to quality work, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
Diagnostics & Testing: Inspect mechanical units, test complex automotive systems, and conduct road tests to accurately pinpoint malfunctions.

Repairs & Precision Maintenance: Adjust, overhaul, or replace components on automotive, commercial transport, and truck-trailer systems to exact manufacturer specifications.

Routine Servicing: Carry out scheduled maintenance and fine-tune repaired systems to ensure optimal safety and performance.

Clear Communication: Review work orders, collaborate with shop supervisors to determine the best repair paths, and document work accurately on service reports.

Customer Care: Clearly explain completed repairs to clients and advise them on upcoming maintenance priorities.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education: A trade certificate or diploma in automotive mechanics technology (or equivalent).

Experience: 5 years of professional, hands-on automotive service experience.

Credentials: Valid Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification and/or an Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate.

Screening: Must successfully pass a criminal background check and provide a clean commercial driving record abstract.

Licensing & Gear: Valid drivers license, a personal set of professional tools, and steel-toed safety boots.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
A bustling, high-volume garage environment requiring sharp focus and strong hand-eye coordination.

Physical stamina to stand for long intervals and perform manual labor requiring high dexterity.
