Schedule Coverage Scheduled + No Call Start Date 7/6/2026 Shift Description - Shift Schedule Standard 5, Day (8 Hours) 8:00 - 16:30 Contract Length: 1 year with the option to extend
Shift Details: (8-hour shifts) with a 30 minute lunch break required
Schedule: Monday Friday, 5 days a week
Work Details: 95% Direct Patient Care / 5% Administrative; evaluation, treatment, and management of dental care; initial and follow-up evaluations; consultations and referrals; participation in QI and staff meetings; EHR documentation with E&M coding
Patient population/age: Indian Health Service (IHS) beneficiaries
Typical cases seen/required: Walk-in Emergency/ sick-call daily, restorative, extractions, some pulpectomies, occasional pulpotomies (if of age to treat in general dental setting).
Number of Chairs/Volume per day: 13 total chairs; 8-14 patients seen per staff dentist per day (dependent on # of dentists on board)
Ages: mainly 8yrs-80yrs
Is the provider solo: no, 2-5 total dentists at one time.
Hygienist onsite: 2
EMR: IHS Computerized Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Special procedures: General dental services within scope of practice and privileging
Skills required: Full scope general dentistry; EHR documentation and coding; consultation and referral coordination; adherence to patient safety and infection control standards
State license required: Active, full, unrestricted dental license in any U.S. state, territory, or DC
DEA: Required
Certifications required: BLS; NPI. DDS or DMD.
Credentialing Timeframe: 45-60 days
Willing To License? Any active state license will apply
