Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist

Position Type: Locum Tenens

Shift: Monday-Friday (6:30 AM - 4:30 PM), Weekend Call Coverage

Position Details:

Patient Population: Adult and Pediatric

Setting: Hospital

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and monitor patient care before and during surgery
  • Provide anesthesia services for surgical procedures
  • Participate in night and weekend call coverage

Required Procedures:

  • General Anesthesia
  • OB Anesthesia (including TOLAC)
  • Pediatric Anesthesia (primarily tonsils and adenoids)
  • Conscious Sedation

EMR System: EPIC

Support Staff:

  • 6 Physicians
  • 2 CRNAs

Days Per Month: Minimum availability of 2 weeks per month

On-Call/Weekends: Yes

Submission Requirements:

  • Board Certified in Anesthesiology Required
  • Active Iowa License or IMLC Required
  • ACLS Required
  • Availability for a minimum of 2 weeks per month Required
