Total Structures is looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our production team in Whites Creek, Tennessee.
The right person should be comfortable reading drawings, fitting and assembling parts, measuring accurately, solving fabrication problems, and producing finished work that meets quality requirements.

Total Structures has over 35 years experience in the business with High-End clients in the Entertainment Industry with World Tours. Besides that we supply for Aerospace and Department of Defense.
Our work involves custom aluminum fabrication and engineered products, so attention to detail and the ability to work from drawings are extremely important.
Plus, we have AC in the shop!
Pay
$25.00-$30.00 per hour
Starting pay will be based on demonstrated experience, fabrication ability, and performance on the weld test.
What You'll Be Doing
- TIG welding aluminum components and assemblies from drawings
- Reading fabrication drawings and understanding dimensions, angles, and part orientation
- Using squares, tape measures, levels, calipers, and other measuring tools
- Inspecting your own work before sending it to the next operation
Also Important to get the work done
- Identifying problems early instead of allowing incorrect work to move forward
- Using grinders, saws, fixtures, clamps, and normal fabrication equipment
- Following travelers, drawings, and production instructions
- Keeping your work area clean, organized, and safe
- Communicating with other team members to complete jobs on schedule
A strong candidate should have
- Previous professional welding and fabrication experience
- Strong aluminum welding experience preferred
- Ability to recognize poor fit-up, incorrect parts, or other fabrication problems before welding
- Good communication and willingness to ask questions when something is unclear
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
Weld Test
Qualified applicants should expect to complete a hands-on weld/fabrication test as part of the hiring process.
The weld test is used to evaluate actual ability, including weld quality, fit-up, measurement, understanding of drawings, and general fabrication skills.
