Oral Surgery Locum Opening in Alaska (WILL WAIT FOR LICENSE) - Bobby with Luna Locums

They are ideally looking for someone to provide Call Coverage 1-2 weeks per month - This would be 24-hour call either 2 consecutive weeks or alternating.

Coverage Details:

• Call Coverage: 2 weeks per month (24-hour call) can be 2 consecutive weeks or alternating.
• Typically, 1 2 emergencies/jaw fractures per week; up to 5 7 on busy weeks. Mostly consultations
• Option to add clinic work if desired: 1 week of 24-hour call + 1 week of clinic.

Clinic Details:

• Staff Mix: 2 full-time Oral Surgeons + 1 intermittent/direct OS. Current providers split call 1/3 and would like to lighten their load to focus more on clinic and complex cases
• 10-hour days, with FT providers typically seeing 8 12 patients per day.
• Locum would not handle complex cases or existing patients those are managed by the permanent OS team.
• Typical procedures: Biopsies, surgical extractions, wisdom teeth, and other bread-and-butter cases.

Assignment Info:

• Licensing: 6 8 weeks
• Credentialing: 6 weeks
• Hospital Privileges: 2 4 weeks
• Target Start: Late January / Early February or sooner if licensed
• Commitment: 1-2 weeks per month (3-month initial commitment, with possibility of extension)

Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Case logs for both hospital and clinic
• Detailed work history (including current and past privileges)

Travel:

They have Intermittent housing for Temporary/ On call providers

Will cover flights and provide Car/Rental
